Malaysia is getting a second chance at prosperity

TL:DR Malaysia is strategically positioned for a vast influx of IT investment and My Data Sys is here to help.

There was a time where Penang was the rising star in Malaysia, destined to be the silicon valley of the east, but due to some own goals this was not to be. However, lately, there has been a string of new announcements from various large organizations stating an intent to (re)invest in Malaysia. They would provide various reasons for doing so but the real reason is of course a cheap labor market and ample space. Also, a somewhat more stable government really helps. The hidden reason is that divesting from China due to a strong socialist regime into Thailand or Vietnam, with the same underlying issues, does not make good business sense. Malaysia failed as a technical hub due to the complete lack of R&D and innovation. In simple terms, Malaysia’s motto was if it works leave it alone. As IBM technical specialists what we found here was that most organizations were on software levels that was initially installed by external consultants and never upgraded, ever. If it works, leave it alone.

To sum up Malaysia one could say: Malaysia, the land of missed opportunities that is now fast changing to the land of some opportunities. My Data Sys is here to help Malaysia meet the demand of the new business opportunities that will require modern IT skills in the AI sphere of business. To that end we have partnered with Vertiv as a distributor to supply modern energy switching systems to the new data centers being discussed.

Modern AI server clusters requires enormous amounts of energy that must be managed properly to succeed and with Vertiv as a partner we will be able to provide the level of sophistication required to make Malaysia into the giant it is destined to be. We have included a video that gives a really good overview of what is about to happen in Malaysia so standby for interesting times!
